What a good week!

We had a good week. Tuesday was my birthday and Seth really spoiled me. On Monday night we saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It was realy good! Tuesday Seth made me breakfast in bed, which I unfortunately threw up after:( Then we went shopping, I bought a new pair of brown boots and a new purse. Then we went to dinner and a movie. We saw Music and Lyrics, I really liked it! Then it was back to work on Wednesday. Work has been hard lately because I am so tired, but I'm getting through it. We are registering for summer classes on March 26th. Depending on my school schedule, I may not be able to work during the summer. We'll see.

This Friday we get to go hear the baby's heartbeat:) We are so excited!!! My morning sickness has turned into night sickness. I'm not getting as sick when I get up, it's just really hard for me to get out of bed, I just want to sleep more! But lately I've been getting sick at night. I try not to take the medicine the dr gave me too much. It puts me right to sleep, which is great, but I wake up feeling really groggy.

Other than that nothing much is going on...oh wait, Seth worked on his motorcycle on Saturday. It still doesn't run, but they are making a lot of changes to it. I think he's going to work on it more this week. It was given to him by a friend, for free, so it's become his new baby (until our baby comes!) Well, that's our exciting life for now. We hope everyone is doing great & we love and miss you all!

Antelope Island

So, I think I'm finally getting used to using this blog. Today we went to Antelope Island. I've always wanted to go there and Seth took me as part of my birthday weekend surprise. We stayed at a hotel in Murray last night and then went up to the Island today. It was so fun! We saw buffalo, antelope and a coyote! I was pretty scared about the coyote, because we were so close, but Seth was there to protect me:) I've never been to the Salt Lake before, it was cool. Here are a few pictures of us.

So far my "birthday weekend" has been great. The hotel was so nice, but we didn't get there until really late because my old roommate Heather go married yesterday so we were at the reception in Orem. I got some really nice summer maternity clothes from the in-laws. I can't wait to have a cute pregnant belly:) Seth also bought me a little Willow Tree figurine of a mom holding a little child, I love it! Today he gave me some stuff from Bath & Body Works. Tomorrow we are going to see Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. It's showing at a local theater here in Orem. Then Tuesday, which is actually my birthday, Seth is sending me to a spa for a manicure, pedicure & pregnancy massage. He spoils me!

Today marks one year since Seth and I hung out for the first time. We stayed up super late after my birthday party last year and watched Miracle. So, tonight we are going to watch Miracle again. I can't believe it's already been 1 year. It's crazy to think how much has changed. Last year when I blew out my birthday candles I never dreamed I would be married to the love of my life, my best friend and that we would be starting a family. It's amazing how much we have been blessed. Heavenly Father really has taken great care of us & I know he will continue to. Well, it's time to watch the movie.

8 weeks

Ok, here is the first picture of me taken at 8 weeks. It's not the best picture, but it's the only one we have. I have not gained any weight, but I do feel my weight shifting to my stomach. My pants are starting to get a little tight and my appetite has increased 100%! It's strange, I will wake up at 3am starving! I haven't thrown up the last two days, which is fabulous! The Dr gave me some medicine for the nausea, which he said will also help with the migraines. So far it works great, except it makes me so tired! Last night was date night and we decided to go to dinner and a late movie. So, before dinner we bought 2 tickets to a 10:05pm movie. We were done with dinner around 8:30ish so we went home to change into more comfy clothes. Unfortunately, I was so tired that I couldn't even stay awake! So I took a little nap from 9-9:30 and we headed out to the movie. But, the entire drive there I couldn't even keep my eyes open, it was horrible! So, we turned the tickets in and got a refund. I felt so bad for being to sleepy, but that medicine just knocks me out! Lucky for me Seth is amazing and was more concerned with how I was feeling than the movie:) I'm so lucky! He is a great husband and is going to be a great dad!

Morning sickness:(

Well, I've officially started getting sick. It's worse in the morning and usually goes away by lunch. But today was the worst! I finally made it to work around 9:30ish but then I started getting blurred vision and then a migraine started. I was home sick by 11:00 a.m. I took a nap until Seth got home from work and my migraine had faded to a headache. I've just been in bed all day watching TV & hanging out with Seth. I'm going to the Dr tomorrow to hopefully get some medicine for the nausea and learn what I can do to help the migraines. It is all worth it though!! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day:)

Other than that nothing is going on. We are trying to decide when we are going to move to Oregon. We would like to get out there asap but still need to get some things with school figured out. Our plan is to move in early June or end of June, depending on school. I am looking forward to moving, but not to packing & unpacking! Luckily, I won't have to do any lifting:)

First appointment

We had our first appointment yesterday and everything went great! We go back on March 2 and we get to hear the heartbeat then:) It's still doesn't seem real, but I'm sure it will after hearing the heartbeat! The doctor changed the due date to September 22.

Great news!!!

Well everyone, we got great news today...I am five weeks pregnant!!! We are so excited! As of right now the doctor thinks the due date is September 21, but we go back on Friday for our first exam. I have been sick for a couple weeks, and I took an at home pregnancy test, but I guess I took it too early because it said negative. So, I went to the doctor today about feeling sick and they did a test and it was positive:) It's crazy to think we are going to be parents, but so exciting! This is something we've wanted for a while so it's hard to believe it's really happening. I feel great, a little nauseous, but nothing I can't handle! We will keep everyone posted as we get farther along.

Football

We haven't really done anything exciting lately. Today we watched the Bears smoke the Saints and we just finished watching my team, the Patriots lose to the Colts:( Seth doesn't really care who plays, and the only team I wanted to win was the Patriots so I don't care anymore either! Oh well, there's always next year for Tom Brady.
Church was interesting today. We have new teachers in nursery with us and today was their day to teach. We rotate each week and it's always really hard when they teach. The kids aren't used to them yet so they don't listen very well. I was pretty crabby when we got home. It was a stressful 2 hours! I made Sunday dinner today, pot roast, mashed potatoes/gravy and rolls. It was good. I love Sunday dinner, it's the only day of the week that we have a big dinner. Plus it's nice because after church we don't have anything to do but lay around all day:) Well, that's it for today. Bye!
