a picture

I just came across this picture saved in an old email. It was taken May 8, 2006 (a little over a month before our wedding) when we went to a Jazz game with some of Seth's family. I just love this picture:) It seems like so long ago. Isn't he so handsome!!!

snow, snow, ice and more snow!

We have been hit by more of what they are calling the "arctic blast". Just when it stops snowing, everything turns to ice and then it snows again! Church was canceled for the second week in a row & we are all getting a little stir crazy! Yesterday it snowed, then rain, which turned into ice. Then it snowed some more, covering up the ice. We haven't left the house because the roads are bad, but we have been out to play in it. It is strange, you can walk on the snow and it is ice underneath, so you don't really ever touch the ground. We wanted to take Kimmie sledding, but didn't want to go far, so we improvised in our front yard. We got a rope and Seth pulled us around:) Here are some pictures taken today:

The dish went out, so Seth went on the roof & cleaned it off

Ultrasound

Today we braved the weather and went to my ultrasound app. It was completely worth it! The baby is doing great! He/she was moving around a ton & has long legs! I am almost 12 weeks along and he/she is growing right on track. It was so fun to see the baby & to hear the heartbeat. It was 160 beats per minute, which according to google means a girl. But, according to other online "tests" it is a boy. I guess we will wait and see:) It is snowing again today & it is supposed to get worse, so we are staying in the rest of the day!

Snow days!

I can't believe it, we got snow yesterday! They even canceled church because of it, crazy! Portland does not have snow plows or salt so when it snows everything shuts down. We took Kimmie to play outside & she really had fun, except she didn't want to walk in the snow so she just stood there most of the time. We put ski goggles on her for fun & she looked so cute! Today all of the schools are closed which is so funny to me. I guess the roads are pretty bad so we will probably stay home today.

Christmas came early!

It is finally time to blog about our early Christmas in Utah with my family. It was nice to see my mom & Tom again! We spent 6 days together and it was so much fun! Here is a recap of what we did:
We flew in Saturday afternoon & my mom and Nicky picked us up at the airport. It was such a beautiful day! After lunch Seth left with Scott and met with Rossii and the other Scott (he drove down to take some stuff to their Aunt Stephanie) for some golf. We hung out at Tina's apartment while the boys were out playing. Saturday night Felicia and Lizzy came up and had dinner with all of us. Then we went to Temple Square to see the lights. Sunday was church of course and then we had our "Christmas dinner" and opened presents. Or should I say Kimmie & Spencer opened presents. They are such spoiled little kids...thank you Grandma!! Monday was just a relax and spend time together day. We did some shopping and had a nice dinner together. Tuesday morning my parents headed up to Rexburg to visit Tom's grandkids. Last week we were watching the show Dinners, Drive-Ins and Dives (I think that is what it is called) and they had a place in Salt Lake on called Moochies. The sandwiches looked so good so we went there for lunch on Tuesday. And the Philly cheese steak sandwich was SO GOOD!!!!!! Everyone should definitely go there! We also found a store that sells Faygo pop and we got Rossii & Angie stocked up on it! I think Rock N Rye Faygo is Rossii's new drug! Seth flew home Tuesday night:( Wednesday night we made gingerbread houses with the Dillenbeck family while my parents drove back from Idaho. Thursday we spent at Tina's place and just hung out with the family. Then it was time to say goodbye:( Kimmie & I flew home Thursday night and my parents flew home Friday afternoon. It was so nice to be with the whole family again, I just wish we could do it more than a few times a year. The next time we are all together will probably be this summer when we bless our new baby. Kimmie really enjoyed being around everyone. Well, I think that sums up our trip to Utah! Sorry we didn't get to visit anyone, maybe next time! Here are some pictures from the trip, but if you want to see more you can visit Tina or Nicky's blog (the link is on my family & friends list) Nicky also posted videos of Kimmie so be sure to check those out.

Public Enemies

Last night there was a screening for the new movie Public Enemies, starring Johnny Depp & Christian Bale. Cyndy found out about it and was able to get us in. This was the first screening of the movie, which isn't even finished yet! It is a true story set in the 1930's about the feds trying to take down the gangsters John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd. It was a long movie and slow at times, but overall not too bad. It was strange to see a movie that wasn't finished yet. At one point someone was shot in the face, but there was no blood coming out but I guess they add that in later. I probably won't see it again, since it is 2 1/2 hours long, but I thought it was ok. After the movie they gave us a questionnaire to fill out. The movie is set to come out July 1st, 2009. It was fun going to a special screening, I hope we get to do it again sometime! Thank you Cyndy for getting us in & watching Kimmie!
We are getting ready to head back to Utah this Saturday. Kimmie is sick, so that should make for an interesting trip. We are super excited to see my family & to celebrate Christmas early!

And then there were four.....

It is time to make the official announcement.........Kimmie is going to be a big sister!!!! I am almost 9 weeks pregnant. We have known since before I even missed my period, those digital tests are great! Today was my first appointment and things went great! We are going to the same office Kimmie's doctor was in, but we decided this time we want a midwife. Her name is Helen and we LOVE her!! She actually delivered Kimmie because the doctor was called to an emergency, so we already knew we liked her. Today she did an ultrasound and said things look great! We were able to see the heartbeat on our little kidney bean sized baby:) So fun! I am due on July 4th. We are very excited:) Kimmie is also excited! If you ask her "Where is your baby?" she lifts up her shirt and points to her belly button. Too cute! She will be almost 2 when the baby is born & we know she is going to be a great big sister!

Our trip to Utah & more!

Okay, so I have been behind on blogging, sorry. In the beginning of the month we went to Utah. While we were there we were VERY busy!! Here is a rundown of what we did: BYU football game (my first college football game ever!); went to a Grizzlies game (hockey); saw Aunt Stephanie's new house (which is very nice); hung out with Flee and even got to see Dave; visited my old bishop's wife (I love her!); had lunch with friends; had dinner with amazing old roommates/friends; made a mess of Angie & Rossii's house (thanks for letting us stay with you!); sho and of course spent as much time with my sisters as possible! It was an exhausting trip! We spent 6 days there and then it was back to Oregon, where Angie & Rossii joined us for a little vacation of their own. While they were here we did an underground tour of Portland, ate at voodoo donuts, watched plenty of movies (I think the last count was 8 total) and had some really good laughs. It was nice having them visit! Now that things are starting to settle down again, we have planned another trip to Utah on December 6th! My mom can't get the holidays off work, so we are all meeting in Utah to celebrate Christmas early! It will be so nice to see my mom again, it has been too long & Kimmie has changed so much. Hmmmm......I think that about covers our past couple weeks. Oh wait, one new thing: Kimmie has always liked music, but now she has decided she loves rock music the most! She has two favorite songs that she loves to dance to. When you turn on a song she starts bobbing her head and swinging her arms and her face lights up with a huge smile. It cracks me up! We recorded it, so I will post it soon. Here are a some pictures from our trip. (I didn't take many on our camera, so I have more of Kimmie with my sisters, but they are on Nicky's camera) These pictures are in backwards order of our trip, but I am too lazy to take the time to fix it, sorry:) Oh, and today Seth took me out driving to some places where they filmed Twilight! It was so fun, but I know realize I am a huge nerd!!!
