Well, 2007 sure was exciting, her is our year in review..........
January: We brought in the New Year with Seth's brother Scott and some of Chrissy's friends from Outback (Susan and Kim). Then on January 23rd we found out Chrissy was 7 weeks pregnant, by far the best news of the year!
February: Seth surprised me with a great Valentines day and then on the 20th we celebrated my 25th birthday. Seth always plans such wonderful surprises, too much to type!
March: I think this month was kind of boring, just spent most of our time working and Seth was going to school. I was still adjusting to morning sickness, but it wasn't that bad.
April: Chrissy's family came out from Michigan for Tom's grandson's (Jonathan) wedding. While they were in town we went and had an ultrasound done and found out we were having a girl, but Seth's already knew that;) In the middle of the month our car died, so we started sharing a car. At the end of the month Seth and I took a trip to the Grand Canyon and to Las Vegas. After a lot of driving, (well Seth drove and I kept him company) and some car trouble we made back home to Orem. The trip was fun but Vegas isn't really our kind of place. Chrissy was really starting to show and the morning sickness was long gone!
May: We started school for the summer and began packing for our big move......
June: Finished school and Seth's mom came to Utah to help us move. We finally took the car in to get fixed, but sadly they didn't fix it but took our money. After finals, packing and buying a car, we headed off to Oregon with more help from Tina and Scott. We made a stop in Boise to rest and visit Seth's Grandma Davenport and Aunt Neva and Uncle Steve. Once we were in Oregon Tina and Scott stayed a few days but then it was time to say goodbye:( We also celebrated our one year wedding anniversary on the 30th!!! We went to the coast and stayed at Seth's aunts beach house. The weather was great and we had so much fun!
July: Wow, Chrissy was getting really big! At the beginning of the month we moved into our new apartment. After a few days we had everything unpacked and the nursery was all ready for baby Kimberly to come in September. At the end of the month we went to Seattle with Seth's family. Chrissy had never been before so it was a lot of fun. She was excited to see a fish thrown at Pikes Place (I am so easily amused). The summer is almost over and despite a couple days of 100 degree weather, being pregnant during the summer wasn't so bad.
August: This month started off normal. Then, on the 14th we took Chrissy to the hospital after she was up all night in pain. When we got there they admitted her for kidney stones, but never checked to see if she was in labor. After almost 32 hours of no kidney stones and almost 48 hours of no sleep for Chrissy, they checked Chrissy and found out she was in labor! On August 16th at 10:10pm Chrissy delivered a 7lb 6oz, 19 1/2in kidney stone named Kimberly Grace:) Chrissy's mom flew out right away and was able to stay a week with us. After a short stay in the NICU Kimmie came home.
September: We spent most of the month adjusting to being new parents. Kimmie only wanted to eat every 4 hours, sometimes longer and would rather sleep than eat. So, we spent most of the first few weeks watching her and waiting for those sleepless nights to come, but they never did! Seth started school, he was taking 2 classes and decided on a major. He is going to become a Physcians Assistant! Seth's brother Nathan was getting ready to leave for his mission to Argentina and his farewell was at the end of the month.
October: The first weekend of October we flew to Utah to visit Tina and Scott and some friends. They all got to meet Kimmie for the first time. Nathan left for the MTC and next time he sees Kimmie she will be two! Kimmie dressed up as a pumpkin for Halloween. We took her to trunk or treat at Seth's parents ward and then we passed out candy. She is growing so fast, it's great!
November: In the beginning of the month Chrissy's family all flew to Oregon for Kimmie's blessing. Her Grandma Groves was also able to come out. It was great having everyone in town but next time we need a bigger place;) On the 24th we celebrated Seth's 25th birthday. Chrissy planned a special dinner but after a few mishaps and tears in the kitchen we ended up going out to dinner.
December: Seth finished up finals and received 2 B's, good job Seth! We celebrated our Christmas early on the 14th and flew to Michigan on the 15th. We celebrated Christmas with Chrissy's family. It was a great Christmas, Santa was very kind to us! While in Michigan we found out Tina and Scott are expecting. We are so excited for them! After a long, but wonderful time in Michigan we flew back to Oregon. We celebrated New Years with Seth's family and also alone as our new little family.
2007 was a wonderful year filled with too many memories to type. I think we covered most of the main events but I am sure I forgot some. Please leave any memories you have with us from 2007 that I have not included. Be sure to look back at our old posts from last year and catch up on anything you might have missed and look at pictures from throughout the year. We are so excited for 2008 and the wonderful memories to come!

What a night....
So, last night was Kimmie's first night sleeping in her crib. She has been sleeping in a cradle in our room (the cradle was built by my dad when I was born). She is such a great sleeper so we decided it was time to move her into her own room. She did great! She slept through the night with no problems...I on the other hand had a hard time falling asleep. I was so nervous about her being far away in the room next door. But after a prayer and some comforting words from Seth I was fine. She is growing so fast, I can't believe it! Her two teeth have slowed down a little but are continuing to make their way in.
Our New Years celebration consisted of pizza with Seth's family and we watched Singles Ward 2 (a cheesy movie, had some funny parts but not as good as the first one). Then we left around 11:45 to head home to bring in 2008 as our little family. Then we went to bed around 12:30, we are so exciting, aren't we???
Seth and I are keeping busy spending time with Kimmie and getting ready for school to start. I decided to take some more classes this semester so I have 6 credits. Seth is taking 14 credits, he has some super hard classes so it will be a busy 10 weeks for him (Oregon does trimesters instead of semesters). After our vacation to Michigan we are back to working out. I am proud to say I have lost almost 40 pounds since Kimmie was born in August. Unfortunately, I gained 50 pounds when I was pregnant so I still have 10 more to lose to reach my pre-pregnancy weight. Then I still want to lose 30 more pounds to reach my pre-married weight:) we'll see! Seth is so good at motivating me to work out and eat healthier. He is also continuing to lose weight so I have to try to lose it faster than him. There's nothing wrong with a little friendly competition, right?? Our goal is to be close to our goal weight by summer. Wish us luck!
Well, I have to get going now. We don't have the internet at our apartment yet, so we come to Seth's parents and it's time to go home. We are getting the internet this week so I will be better at posting then! We hope everyone had a great New Year. I can't believe it's 2008!!!!!

Back in Oregon
Well, we flew home today. It has been a very, very long day but we are finally home. Our flight left Michigan at 6:40am, which meant we had to leave my parents house at 4-which is 1am Oregon time! When we arrived at the airport it was super busy. After waiting in two long, but fast, lines we boarded our plane and we were off to Chicago Midway. We had about an hour layover and as we were waiting it started to snow. Luckily, we made it out of Chicago just before the storm came in. After a 3 1/2 hour flight we were back on Oregon soil. It has been a long and emotional day. As much as my family drives me crazy I love them so much and miss them when I am away. It is hard knowing that we will all probably live in separate states but I guess that's what happens when you grow up and start your own family. So, to my family.....Mom and Tom, thank you for all that you do. Thank you for making room for us in your home. And mom, you are the best mom ever and I hope to follow your example and be a wonderful mom to my children. Nicky, thank you for helping so much with Kimmie, you are a wonderful aunt. And thank you for still loving me when we fight. Tina, thank you for making me laugh and for not killing Seth when he put that creepy killer elf on your bed! And last, but not least, Scott...thank you for getting Tina pregnant, it's about time Kimmie has a cousin:) Oh yeah, I can not forget Seth.....Seth, thank you for putting your life in danger so that Tom could show you around Detroit. I love you so much and you are the BEST!!!! I love my family so much and I really do treasure every moment we spend together, even if it's spent fighting;) I had a great time in Michigan and I am so excited for August when Tina and Scott's baby will be born and we can all be together again.
But, now it's back to life in Oregon and right now we are at Seth's parents house. Seth's family really missed Kimmie (and us) so we brought her over to visit. I have to take a moment to thank Seth's family too. It is really hard for me being so far away from my family but they make me feel so welcome and I really appreciate it. I now know I have two families and that is a wonderful feeling. So, thank you Davenports!!!
Well, I guess that's enough sentimental stuff for one day. Our trip was awesome, Christmas came and went too fast and now it's almost 2008, CRAZY!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We love you all!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! I know it's still technically Christmas Eve, but who knows if I will get time tomorrow to post anything. Seth and I started a family tradition of wearing matching pj's on Christmas Eve. It is hard to find all matching stuff, so we did the best we could. Tomorrow should be an exciting day, we have a lot of family coming over for dinner. Kimmie is definitely teething, she LOVES chewing on her teething ring and she drools all over! We talked to Nathan today (he is in Argentina serving a mission). He sounds like he is enjoying himself and we are so proud of him! Ok, that's it for now. Have a very Merry Christmas! We love you all!

This last picture shows how Kimmie spends most of her day. My parents bought a 52" TV for Christmas so she's been enjoying laying with Grandma and Grandpa on the couch! I think she gets that from her daddy:)

Kimmie is finally getting a cousin!
Well, the big news we got today is Tina and Scott are expecting! We are so excited for them! She is around 6 or 7 weeks along, that makes her due date sometime in August. Congrats guys, we love you!
We went to the Red Wings game last Monday (me, Seth and Nicky). It was a great game. It was tied 3-3 going into overtime. We bought standing room tickets and then right before overtime started we went down to some empty seats that were super close. Then it went into a shoot out and we were to close, it was awesome! The Wings won, YAY!!! Kimmie stayed home with my mom and Tom. Kimmie has been great this trip, the time change isn't bothering her at all. But, Tuesday she started screaming a lot and was having a really hard time falling asleep. She is still sleeping through the night but during the day she seems to have a hard time getting to sleep. Then, yesterday I looked in her mouth and it looks like she might be getting two teeth in, CRAZY! I guess it's normal to start getting teeth around 4 months but the strange thing is it looks like it is her fangs that are coming in. I thought you normally got the bottom teeth first....does anyone know???? Well, she loves to chew on our finger or her teething ring but she can't really hold the ring in her mouth. You can feel the two little bumps where they are coming in. I guess we'll just wait and see, maybe it's not her teeth, but it really seems like it. Other than that she is doing great! We are so lucky to have such a relaxed baby! Well, I guess that's all that's been going on. Here are some pictures from the wings game and I will have some more soon. The first picture was taken from standing room. The next two were taken from the seats we moved to.

Oh the weather outside is frightful.....

Well, we are in Michigan and it is cold and snowy! Our flight here wasn't too bad, we had a bit of a delay in Chicago but only 25 minutes so it wasn't too bad. The storm came in last night and is snowed all night. It stopped snowing this afternoon but the wind is blowing really bad. We were supposed to drive down to Chrissy's Wojno family Christmas party and to visit some friends, but the storm changed our plans. The roads were really bad and the news said to only go out if absolutely necessary. Church was canceled today so we've just been sitting around the house. Nicky bought Kimmie a cute little snow suit so we bundled her up and took her outside. I think her favorite part was chewing on the string from her hat! Kimmie loved the snow....ok, maybe not but she looked so cute! She made a little snow angel and played a little in the snow but the wind was blowing a lot so we didn't stay outside long. Kimmie also turned 4 months old today so we took some pictures in one of her new Christmas dresses from Aunt Nicky and Grandma.
Well, our trip has started off snowy, but fun. I know Seth's family misses Kimmie so I will keep posting pictures and updates for them.

4 month checkup
Today was Kimmie's 4 month check-up. She now weighs 13 lbs 6 oz. They measured her as being 26 inches long, but she was kind of wiggly so I think she's probably 25 but that still makes her in the 90th percentile for her age! She got her second round of shots today and did great. When they give her the shots I have to hold her hands so she doesn't move around but once they're done Seth gets to hold her. So, Seth is the good guy and I am the bad guy;) Oh well, I still feed her so she has to love me! We are getting ready to go to Michigan this Saturday, we're so excited.
Nathan left the MTC today and is on his way to Buenos Aires, Argentina. He had a long layover in Atlanta so he was able to call everyone. Well, there were some problems with the pay phones there and after spending most of his time sharing the phone it was our turn to get a call from him. We were waiting and waiting.....then my phone rang saying I had a voice mail. It was Nathan! He said he tried calling Seth's phone but someone accidentally gave him the wrong number-thanks mom:) He then called my phone but for some reason it went straight to my voice mail. He said he would try calling if he had time but it was already almost time for him to board his plane so I guess he didn't have time. (Wow, I said time a lot in that sentence, sorry!) That's ok, he will be calling on Christmas Day so we will get to talk to him then. Everyone says he is doing well so that's nice to hear.
Yesterday when we left for church it was snowing! I was so happy but by the time sacrament was over it had stopped:( Hopefully we will get a white Christmas in Michigan. I guess that's it for now. Here are some pictures of Kimmie in her favorite dress from daddy! She also has a little zebra that she loves napping with, it's really soft and she loves to snuggle him! She is also getting really good at tummy time, her neck is getting so strong!
