A girl with many talents.....

Kimmie LOVES music, she always has. It is hard to catch her on camera, she normally gets shy and stops, or hits the camera:) She loves to sing and play the piano. I think it is time for Aunt Cyndy to start piano lessons:) She loves singing primary songs and always watches the DVD that Grandma bought her with all the church songs on it. The other day she sat down at the piano and started playing/singing I Am a Child of God. It was the sweetest moment ever! I was finally able to capture her singing on tape so this video is for you Grandma, enjoy!!!

The piano isn't her only talent!

My handy helper....

Kimmie is such a good helper & a GREAT big sister!!

They are just too cute!!!!

Today I spent a lot of time playing and laughing with the kids. Why don't I do that more often??? The dishes can wait, the laundry isn't going anywhere, I need to spend more time playing with the kids. Today was a good day!

These are a few of my favorite things.....

Ok, I know this post should be all about my kids & Seth, because they really are my most favorite thing EVER, but instead I want to talk about 3 things that I cannot live without in my house.

First is slow cooker liners. I love cooking in my crock pot but HATE cleaning it after. These liners are amazing, you just put them in your crock pot, cook like usual, and then throw away the mess when you are done! And they are super cheap, I thin
k I paid $2.50 for a box at Target.

Second is Dawn Hand Renewal Dish Soap. I am doing dishes all the time & my hands have been getting so dry because of it. I noticed a difference right away!!

Third is the Swivel Sweeper. Now I do not own this, but Seth's mom is letting me borrow hers & I don't know how I ever lived without it! I am always sweeping, especially under Kimmie's chair at the table. This sweeper is awesome! It is so fast and easy to use. I recommend every mother get one of these! It works great on our hard wood floors & I also use it in our bathroom.

Now that I sound like some bad infomercial, here are my REAL favorite things......

snuggles (this picture was taken after she woke up at 4 am and would not go back to bed. We finally fell asleep on the couch around 6:30 am!)

more smiles:) I can't get enough of this little man

and of course being silly with Sethy.

Boo!

Happy Halloween! Last year after Halloween I went to the Disney Store and bought Kimmie's costume for this year. I got it for $3, talk about a deal! The costume I bought her was Snow White. I decided that David should be Sleepy, so I set out to make his costume. I kept thinking I had time and then all the sudden it was Thursday night and time for Trunk or Treat! His costume was cute, except for the beard. It shed EVERYWHERE & he kept trying to eat it! So, I took pictures quickly and then changed him into a different costume, one that didn't shed! So it ended up that we had Snow White and a frog. But hey, every princess needs a frog to kiss:) They looked great and Kimmie had so much fun at Trunk or Treat. Today we are taking the kids out again and Kimmie can't stop talking about going "rick reating with pink pumpkin".

Welcome Home Nathan!

Wow, we have been very busy lately. Seth's brother Nathan came home on October 13th. He served a 2 year mission for our church in Buenos Aires Argentina. We are so proud of him and very happy to have him home. My how things have changed since he left. Kimmie was only around 2 months old when he left and he returned to a 4 month old nephew. Crazy! Kimmie loves him so much, in fact as I am typing this she is upstairs with him singing "I Am a Child of God". Two years went by so fast.
Now that Nathan is home things should start to settle down for us. Kimmie is growing more independen each day, along with that comes temper tantrums. Sunday she threw a fit because she didn't want to leave nursery at church. She loves playing with other kids and singing songs. She can count to 15 and sometimes to 20. She can also count backwards from 10-1 (and she says BLASTOFF after). She loves to snuggle with David and play with him. He really lights up when he sees her, she can always make him smile. He loves her so much, but fears her too:) David is growing like a champ. He is 4 months old and weighs 16lbs, is 25 3/4 inches long and his head is 41.8cm. He is still in the 75-90th percentile for everything. He smiles all the time and laughs a lot too. He loves tummy time, the doctor said he is as strong as a 6 month old. He sits up really well and is almost ready to sit by himself. He rolls over all the time if you put him on his tummy. They are both growing so fast and are such a blessing to have in our lives. Here are some pictures to catch everyone up.

Marathon Men & 5 Mile Mammas!

So about 4 months ago Seth, Scott, Rossii & Eli decided they wanted to run a marathon. Well, yesterday they did it!!! They all did such a great job & I am so proud of all of them. Seth, Scott & Rossii also grew out mustaches in honor of Steve Prefontaine. While they were running the marathon me, Angie & Alena ran the 5 mile race. I have never run 5 miles before, so I was kind of nervous. I finished faster than my goal time & so did Ang & Alena. Great job girls!! Angie's mom, Eren, did the marathon walk and finished with a great time! It was such a fun weekend & everyone did such a great job. We are already planning on running again next year, but this time I am going to run the marathon. Anyone else interested???? We loved having visitors & took tons of pictures. Here are the ones from race day, I will post the rest later.
