so much going on.....

Last week my family all came into town for David's blessing. It was a busy time, but worth it! It was great being with everyone & we took so many great pictures. David is doing well, growing like a champ. He is 7 weeks old now & weighs 12 lbs 8 ounces. Kimmie will be turning 2 in a week, I can't believe it! They are growing way too fast!!! Here are a few of my favorites & if you want to see more you can visit Tina or Nicky's blog.

A fun BBQ

Last Sunday we headed up to Alena's house for a BBQ, it was a lot of fun. Kimmie loved playing & David was a hit. Alena tried teaching Kimmie how to drive the power wheels, but she liked it best when Alena pushed the pedal and she got to steer. It was fun watching her try to drive it.

My parents are coming into town on Saturday & will be here for 10 days, YAY!!! Then next week Tina, Scott, Spencer & Nicky will be in town, it will be so great having the family together. They are all coming in for David's baby blessing on August 2nd. We are battling some illnesses right now, so hopefully we are all feeling better before they get here.

Here are some pictures from the BBQ

Look at the wind blowing through Kimmie's hair, she is a speed demon
I don't think David is ready to drive yet
Lesson #1...this is the gas pedal
tummy time, he is so strong!!
such a handsome little man, just like his daddy!

I can't believe David is already a month old. Time sure if flying by. He is doing great. Eating well & sleeping well. He eats about every 4 hours, sometimes longer during the night. He is just like his big sister, loves to sleep! Kimmie is doing great too, I can't believe she will be two next month! He are some more pictures, enjoy:)

Pictures...lots of pictures...

Over Fourth of July weekend we decided to drive to Utah/Rexburg to visit family & friends. My mom & Tom were in town from Michigan for Tom's great-granddaughters baptism. We arrived in Rexburg Friday, went to Salt Lake Saturday night & headed back home Sunday evening. The drive was...interesting...Kimmie did not like being in her car seat for that long & had a hard time sleeping. While we were there we were able to spend time with my family, which was great! I LOVE seeing my mom with Kimmie & David. Plus it is great seeing Spencer, he is such a big boy. I can't believe he will be 1 in a few days! We were also able to attend Daisy's baby blessing - Rossii & Angie's daughter, AKA the future Mrs. David Davenport:) They were meant to be together, they even have matching birth marks on their necks:) (If you look closely at the picture of us with Ang & Ross you will see David & Daisy are holding hands) We also made a trip down to Orem for the blessing of Aileah, my old roommate Heather's baby. It was such a rushed trip, so we weren't able to visit long, but it was nice to see everyone. It is crazy how much life has changed in such a short time.
Other than our trip to Utah, we have been spending all of our time at home with Kimmie & David. David is such a GREAT baby, just like his big sister was. He eats every 4 hours and sleeps 4-5 hours during the night. He is growing like crazy and stays awake more each day. He is 3 weeks old today! At his 2 week check-up he weighed 10 lbs 2 ozs & was 21 3/4 inches long. Boy am I glad he came 2 1/2 weeks early:) Kimmie is amazing with him, always giving him kisses & he is the first one she asks for when she wakes up. We are very blessed to have two amazing children! Here are a bunch of my favorite pictures......

Our little girl is not so little anymore!

Kimmie is growing up so fast....too fast!!! Here are some of my favorite things she says:
*Today she was pretend talking on the phone and she said her usual "hi, uh huh" and then out of no where she said "what ya doin?" It was so funny!!! She is picking up on so many things we say. I didn't realize how many times during the day I say "Kimmie, what ya doin?"
*When we go on walks she walks ahead of us saying "come on!" and waving her arm at us.
*Her newest is if you do something she will look at you and say "you funny" or sometimes she does something and says "I funny"
*She amazes us each and every day. She is changing so much. She is so afraid of bugs now and if she sees anything that even looks like it could be a bug she jumps into your arms screaming "get you, get you, get my toes!!" It is cute, but sad. She loves to kiss my belly and the other day she asked to see the baby, so I lifted my shirt to show my belly. She suddenly pointed to my stomach (and the beautiful stretch marks that have appeared) and screamed "get you!!" I politely explained that my stretch marks are not contagious and they are not going to get her:)
One more story & then I am done. Yesterday I put her in her high chair and when I was strapping her in I accidentally pinched her thigh in the snap (she only had a onesie on so her bare leg was exposed) She started crying & I picked her up telling her over and over I was so sorry. She only cried for a second, then she looked at me and said "I ok mommy" and then gave me a big kiss. It was so sweet! I just love that little girl so much. It is a strange feeling knowing my time alone with her is coming to an end, but I know she will be such a great big sister and I look forward to welcoming David into our family & making more memories with the two of them.
Here is the David update: Last week I had a growth ultrasound and they estimated he weighed 8 lbs 1 oz (I was 36 weeks along). Because on average babies grow 1/2 lb a week these last weeks, my midwife has decided we will induce me at 39 weeks, if he hasn't come on his own by then. I am still having contractions, but they normally go away if I rest. I feel huge & very uncomfortable, but I know he will come when the time is right. If I don't get induced then chances are he will be too big & I will have to have a c-section. So, we will most likely go with being induced. We will find out more Friday.
