Summer is here

Cyndy bought Kimmie a little pool and she LOVES it! She crawls around and splashes in the water, it is so cute! Thank you Aunt Cyndy!!! We are almost ready to start moving! They are finishing installing the wood flooring right now and then we are ready to move in. The kitchen cabinets are not in yet, but they will be in a couple weeks. Other than that we just have minor finishing touches to do. It is excited and a big relief to know it's almost over. This is the first major remodel I have been a part of and it is a lot of work! We finished painting all the rooms and I am very happy with how they turned out. Cyndy and I stenciled Kimmie's room and it looks very cute. Once we get settled I will post some pictures. Oh yeah, Kimmie learned how to pull herself up to standing. That little girl is into everything now! She is growing so fast. I remember when she used to sleep all day...those days are gone;) She gets into everything and tries to eat anything she sees. She is 10 months old now and changing everyday! When she was first born we took a picture of her with Mickey, she was so small compared to him. Today we took an updated picture, see for yourself how much she has grown...........

Amazing Friends!

It has been a busy week for us! Angie and Rossii came to town and we had a blast with them! We love spending time with them and are so happy they came to visit. While they were here we saw a bunch of movies: Son of Ranbow, Foot Fist Way, Indiana Jones, Zohan, and Angie & Chrissy watched Sex and the City. They were all good movies, except Sex and the City. I don't know what I expected but it wasn't that great. Oh well, at least it was free! We didn't take many pictures on our camera so I will add more when Angie sends us some. Tonight my old roommate Heather and her husband Tom are coming to town. I guess Oregon is the place to be;) I am very excited to have them stay with us. Heather has been a wonderful friend and Tom is great too!
Today was my math final and I think I did really good. Now I just have to wait and see.....hopefully I will know by Monday and then I can send my transcripts to UVSC for approval. Then that is it, I am done!!!! Seth's last final was last week so he is done for the summer. In September he will be starting at Portland State. The remodel is coming along and we should start painting next week! So we will be all moved in by the end of the month.
In recent Kimmie news she has learned the "army crawl". It is so cute. She scoots everywhere, you have to watch her like a hawk! She is always trying to pull herself up on things, and most of the time she ends up falling. She is one tough girl! She is in the "I only want my mommy" phase. That can be tough sometimes, but it won't last long, hopefully;)

Hey Hey Hockeytown!!!!!

We are happy to announce the Stanley Cup is finally back where it belongs, in DETROIT!!! We beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2 in game six. It was a great game! It is so nice to have the Wings win the cup again, I just wish I was back in Detroit celebrating. Seth, Kimmie and me enjoyed watching them beat Sid the Kid;) GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Red Wings were my inspiration for the new songs on our page!

Michigan

So me and Kimmie spent the weekend in Michigan and it was GREAT! Seth had to stay home and work:( We arrived on Saturday and returned this morning. It was a crazy busy weekend, but we had a lot of fun. It was great seeing my family with Kimmie. She loves them so much and they love her. I wish we didn't all live so far away. Nicky has graduated with her Associates and will be moving to Utah in July to finish school at UVU. I can't believe how much she has changed. I still think of her as my little sister, but she's 23 now and no longer a little girl. She has grown into a beautiful, smart, caring woman and I love her very much. Last night Nicky was playing with Kimmie and she got her to laugh so much. It was so cute. I will never forget it! Tina is looking cute and pregnant! Only a couple months to go until little Spencer is here. We are so excited to meet him! I know Tina and Scott are going to be awesome parents! Leaving my mom was really hard. I feel bad we don't live closer and she only gets to see Kimmie a couple times a year. It is hard but I know Kimmie loves her Grandma so much! It's nice to be back home again, but I miss everyone so much already! I can't believe how different everything is now. It is amazing how fast life passes by. I am very thankful for my family and friends and the wonderful memories I have. We love you all!!! I will post pictures from the trip soon.

9 months old & a video

I can't believe it's been 9 months already, time sure does fly! Today was Kimmie's check-up and she weighs 18 lbs 2 oz, 27 inches long and eating like a champ! She hasn't started crawling yet, but she is close. The doctor said she might skip crawling because she loves standing so much, but we're determined to teach her how to crawl;) She loves to go from sitting to standing while holding our hands. She is so curious! She does scoot backwards and around in circles. She is always trying to move around, which means more bumps and bruises. She talks a lot and LOVES to sing. Her favorite song is "Once Upon a Dream". Whenever she hears it she smiles and sings along. Seth's sister Cyndy plays it on the piano for her and she gets so excited!
The weather has been AMAZING! Yesterday it was 91 degrees & Seth had the day off from school & work so we made a picnic and headed up to Council Crest. The view there is great and Kimmie loves playing outside. Here are some pictures I've been meaning to post....

Kimmie is also getting good at mimicking what you say to her. She watches your mouth and tries to talk. I can tell we are going to have our hands full for the next 18 years;) Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that all four of her front teeth have come through! She's growing too fast!!!!!! Enjoy the video!

P.S. My mother's day was GREAT! Seth & Kimmie got me tickets to see Neil Diamond!!!!! YAY, I am so excited. Seth is my date to the concert, somehow I don't think he's as excited as me;) The concert isn't until September so I have almost 4 months to build up the excitement. Maybe next I'll get tickets to see New Kids On the Block...I better not push my luck;)

Christopher's Mission Call

Christopher (Seth's brother) received his mission call today and he will be serving in the Richmond, Virginia mission! We are so excited & proud of him. He leaves in the end of July. Kimmie will miss him so much (we will too). He always makes her laugh and she just loves him! She is such a lucky girl to have two uncles serving the Lord now. Seth, both her Uncle Scott's & Papa have also served missions. We are so lucky to have wonderful, worthy men in our lives! They are all such a great example to her and to me!
