 the sun is out!!

Driving to Utah, taking a little family vacation along the way May 25-May29
First we headed to Crescent City, CA. Along the way Seth started to get sick. You can see by the temperature gage in our car, his side was at 80, mine was at 69. He had a high fever, but was a trooper and drove the whole way there. He went straight to bed when we got to the hotel.
The next morning Seth was feeling much better, but I drove the whole day so he could rest in the car. We headed to see the Paul Bunyon statue in the Mystery of Trees. We drove through the Redwoods and had lunch at a beautiful creek in the forest. I even got to complete my lifelong dream of driving through a tree:)

 A house in Eureka, California

After the Redwoods we headed to Sacramento. We ate at Squeeze Burger, a place we had seen on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

In 2012 we went stopped at the Sacramento Temple on our way to San Diego. It is one of our favorite temples and we were so happy to stop there again. We decided to recreate a few of the pictures from our first visit.

the sprinklers went on and the kids had a blast playing in them
The next morning we headed to the Donner Party Memorial

from there we went to Lake Tahoe. We spent a couple hours there playing in the water and having lunch. It was beautiful!!!

Seth watching David as he went exploring on the rocks. He climbed up to where a bunch of teenagers were cliff diving. I eventually sent Seth to go get him. David is super adventurous and although he wasn't going to jump, it still made me nervous.

From there we went to Reno

and to Lovelock, where we stopped for a quick visit with Katie Foland's parents.
That night we stayed in Elko, Nevada and the next morning headed to Bountiful for Granny's 88th Birthday party. We also got to meet Brody for the first time!

Katelyn Joy and Virginia Joy

We met up with the Thayne's for a quick visit. We had pizza at the park while the kids played.
Sunday morning heading to Brody's blessing.

for months the boys kept talking about playing soccer with Uncle Scott. They were so happy to finally get to play
A big thank you to Aunt Stephanie for letting us stay with her

That night we headed to our hotel in Boise.

 and to Cafe Rio :)
When we got home Nathan, Lauryn, Ryan, Hannah and Connor were visiting Oregon. Our first time meeting Connor.
