Kimmie update

First, thanks to Seth and Nicky for posting all the pictures of Kimmie. I was discharged this afternoon. Still a little sore but getting better with time. Kimberly is still in the NICU but she is doing GREAT!!! When she was first born she was eating 20-25 cc's every 3 hours. My milk hasn't come in yet, since she was 5 1/2 weeks early, so for now she is taking formula. But, she has been eating so well and today they started giving her 45 cc's and now she eats whenever she wants, no longer on a schedule!!!! She is still learning how to suck and swallow but she sure does love to eat! That is such great news:) She is doing so well, but it's so hard for us to leave her and go home to sleep tonight. She is having some trouble maintaining her body temp so she is in an incubator right now but should be out of that within a couple days. Her head and face was bruised and swollen from the delivery but that is going away quickly. Today she smiled while Seth was holding her, it was amazing:) She is also a little jaundice so they are retesting her blood on Monday and she may have to have light therapy but that is no big deal. Thanks to everyone for all your congrats and prayers. We are so happy to have her with us, healthy and strong and so amazing! Although she is as big a most full term babies, she is still a preemie and we have to remember that she still has a lot of developing to do and she needs to rest and take time to mature. P.S. Dad is also doing great. He feeds her as much as he can and has already changed 2 poopy diapers. We are one happy family:)
