Kate 6 month check-up

Weight: 17 lbs 6.5 oz (70th percentile)
Height: 26 7/8 inches (90th percentile)
Head Circumference: 17 5/8 inches (98th percentile)

I can't believe our baby girl is already 6 months old. She is talking so much more, even making her "M" sounds saying "Mama" when she babbles. She loves to move all over the floor. She isn't crawling yet, but I know that's not far away. Her to front bottom teeth are ready to come through any day. She is growing and changing so fast.
She is loved by everyone around her. Kimmie is such a helpful big sister. She holds her all the time. David gets her anything she needs and Joshua can't stand to be away from her for longer than a few seconds. Lots of love in our house!!!
I took her our of the infant carrier car seat and moved her into the permanent rear facing seat. She loves it:)

Lord Stanley

Saturday morning Seth found out the Stanley Cup was in town. I have always wanted to see it, so we packed up the kids and headed downtown. I have to admit, it took some convincing to get me to go. I knew the line would be long & the thought of waiting with 4 kids stressed me out. But Seth, being the amazing man he is, asked me "would you go if we didn't have to take the kids?" I said I would without a doubt. Then he said, "we can't let having 4 kids stop us from doing the things we want to do" That really hit me hard, there was no reason we shouldn't go. My kids are very well behaved...most of the time :-) Plus what a great chance for the kids to see it too. When we arrived at the museum, the line was long, 30-40 minute wait. We were buying our tickets when a security guard approached me & said, "as soon as he finishes buying your tickets, come with me & I'll take you straight in the back way so you don't have to wait in line" What a blessing! So we went with him to the elevator straight up to the room where the cup was. It was so fun to see it in person. I didn't touch it, but loved seeing it up close. I am so glad I listened to Seth, he's the best. One more thing I can cross off my bucket list :-)

4 months old

I am so behind, chasing after 4 kids doesn't leave much time for blogging:) I will catch up one of these days. On February 21st Katelyn turned 4 months old.

Weight: 15lbs 9oz (88th percentile)
Height: 25.5 inches (90th percentile)
Head Circumference: 16 3/4 inches (95th percentile)

She loves to roll over and has recently started rolling from her back to her stomach. She tries so hard to crawl, moving her legs like crazy. Soon she'll be strong enough to lift her upper body and start moving, slow down baby girl!!! She takes more consistent naps and sleep almost 12 hours through the night (she started doing that around 2 months old) She is so happy all the time and loved by all!!!

2 month check-up

Weight: 14 lbs 14.5 oz (95th percentile)
Height: 24 1/4 inches (90th percentile)
Head: 16 1/4 inches (98th percentile)
Of course Katelyn was a champ at her 2 month check-up. She is growing and developing great! She has been wearing size 2 diapers since she was 1 month old. We haven't had to buy any diapers yet, we are still using the ones we got at my diaper/wipes baby shower (best idea ever!!!) She loves to eat and sleep. She usually eats about every 3 hours during the day and goes 8-10 hour stretches during the night, so lucky!!! The doctor said she is physically doing milestones for a 4 month old. She holds her head up nice and strong, loves tummy time, and even rolled over the other day! She laughs and coos all the time, she is a sweet, sweet baby girl!

Sisters

David's preschool

David had a Thanksgiving lunch at his preschool. It was very cute, they did a great job putting it together.

Seth's birthday

On November 24th we celebrated Seth's 31st birthday. We kept things pretty low key and just had some family time. I made buttermilk pancakes, eggs and red potatoes for "brinner" Saturday night. On Sunday we had mini German pancakes for breakfast and stroganoff for dinner. I am happy that for just a few short months Seth and I are the same age:)
