Time to catch up...

Wow, sorry about the break in blogging, I feel like I am really busy, yet I don't get anything done! Strange. Oh well, time to catch up on what's been going on. Seth & I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary on June 30th. We went to dinner at Ringside Steakhouse and to The Lion King. It was such a fun night! Dinner was great and the play was a lot of fun. It was so interesting how they did the Lion King, very creative and I am so glad we got to see it.
This is one of my favorite pictures from our wedding day:) I seriously love him SO MUCH!!!

The day after our anniversary we loaded up the car and drove out to Utah to visit family/friends. It was a very short trip (we left Thursday morning & were home Monday night!) We had a great time visiting & Kimmie LOVED playing with her cousin Spencer & future sister-in-law Daisy. I don't know why, but for some reason I hardly took any pictures on this trip, sorry!

Since we got back from Utah we have just been trying to recover from the long hours we spent in the car:) We have been enjoying the beautiful weather and playing outside as much as possible. Kimmie has changed so much and cracks us up every day with her witty comments. She is such a helpful big sister and as soon as she notices David is being naughty she says "David Scott" and goes right over to correct him, it cracks me up! David is running all over the place and talking more and more (well, babbling more and more, but it's a start). He says mama, dada and sometimes what sounds like Kimmie. If you ask him what does a bird say he replies "caa, caa" (like a crow). That was also the first animal sound Kimmie learned, it is funny to see their similarities. They are both such a joy and such great friends. They play together all the time, it is so sweet to watch!

a future in the NFL???

I think so...look at those man hands!!!

David had his 12 month check-up today and the doctor was SHOCKED at how much he has grown. She referred to him as our "future NBA hall-of-famer" He weighs 25 lbs 6 oz (the 85th percentile). He is 32 1/4 inches long (the 97th percentile!). His head is 48 cm (85th percentile). He is walking...make that running, all over the place. Everything looks great and we are very pleased with how he is developing. He says mama and dada and babbles all the time. He is such a great little man. He goes down for his naps no problem, sleeps through the night, plays nice with his big sister, and gives lots and lots of hugs and slobbery kisses!
He loves playing catch and chasing around a ball. I think he will make a great linebacker...
or maybe a rugby player...

Well, whatever he chooses to do I know he will be great at it! We just love this little guy so much and feel so blessed to have two healthy, beautiful, happy children. Life is good:)

Walking

I completely forgot to post that David is walking now. He has really great balance and started off just standing in one spot doing squats, then before we knew it he was off...and he hasn't stopped walking since. He has been walking around the kitchen/living room all day so I finally stopped to get it on video. Our memory card ran out of space, so I didn't catch it all, but he kept walking even after the recording stops. He is even trying to walk up stairs now, instead of crawl. He is going to be 1 on Saturday, June 19th. I can't believe how fast this year has flown by!!!

photo session

Well, we survived our first professional photography session with the kids. Aside from some hair malfunctions and a little boy who would only grimace at the camera, it turned out pretty good! I just got the CD from Jenni today and I can't wait to get some pictures printed! Here are a bunch of them...
