Our ward headed out to Cape Lookout at the coast for the camp out this year. I was nervous to camp with the kids, and pregnant, but it went great. This was our first time camping in a tent (last year we stayed in a Yurt). The kids played until they were exhausted, roasted hot dogs over the first and had smores, fell asleep right away and slept through the night. It was great! The next day we went on a hike to a waterfall and to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. We ate lots of free cheese samples and even had a free sample ice cream cone:) It was a fun night and I can't wait to go camping again.

Our little artists
What can possible happen when your kids are upstairs with Oma & Uncle Scott while you take a shower??? Well, Uncle Scott drew a mustache on David's face, which was funny, and that inspired him and Kimmie to embrace their artistic side. So they went into Oma's room with the markers and this is what they proudly came out to show us....

| They were so proud! Luckily it was washable marker and Oma was able to wash it right off....after we got a picture of course:) |
Stitches
The same day Kimmie lost her first tooth, we had another first...stitches. We took the kids on a walk to the park. While they were playing David slipped and hit his head on one of the metal bars. Seth ran to him immediately and asked me to grab some baby wipes to help with the bleeding. I ran to the stroller only to realize we didn't bring anything with us. I had a white undershirt on, so I took that off and we used it to stop the bleeding. We called Kathy and she drove our car over and I left with David to take him to Urgent Care while Seth & Kathy walked home with Kimmie & Joshua. Kimmie was crying, she was so worried about David. Joshua was worried too, he just kept saying "hurt, hurt" over and over again.
At Urgent Care they gave him 2 stitches. He did so well. The nurse asked if she should strap his arms down, but the doctor said we didn't have to. I held one hand and tried to keep him calm. Another nurse held his other arm down and one nurse held his head still while the doctor stitched him up. He did so well. He never once tried to reach up and grab or stop them. He did cry and kept asking them if he could go home, but he was such a champ. The doctor and nurses loved him! In fact, the doctor sat around a few minutes after she finished just holding his hand and telling him how great he was. She told me she could sit all day with him, he was such a sweet boy. On the way out they let him pick a prize and he asked if he could also get one for his brother and sister. That made the nurses melt! He had the stitches in for 7 days. He took very good care of it and it looks great now. He didn't even cry when they took the stitches out and the doctor said she was very happy with how he healed.

The Tooth Fairy
On July 18th Kimmie lost her first tooth. She was so excited! She has 4 loose teeth, and this one had been really loose for a while and finally just "popped" out:)
Then on July 25th, exactly one week later, she lost another tooth!
The first visit the tooth fairy brought her a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and $1. The second time she brought her $1.
Our little girl is growing up too fast!! She loves sticking her tongue through the space and is very excited for more visits from the Tooth Fairy.
Outdoor fun
I have been feeling pretty guilty lately because I haven't taken the kids to the park much this summer. It has been so hot and feel very lazy this pregnancy. But, there were a couple days where it cooled down a bit and we took advantage of it. We went to Summerlake Park to play, but they were having a soccer camp so we walked over to the smaller, more ghetto play area. The kids had it all to themselves and loved it. The next day we went to the bank to deposit the coins in their piggy banks. While at the bank the kids asked if we could walk over and see the ducks. After the ducks they wanted to go to the park, so we decided to walk over to it. It was not what I had planned for the day, and I was tired by the end of it, but they had so much fun and it was definitely worth it.
